WINCOO ENGINEERING CO.,LTD's PPAW/PPBW press roller type automatic pipe welding machine is the core welding station of a modern pipe spool fabrication line. It automatically welds pipe-to-pipe and pipe-to-fitting butt joints (flange, elbow, tee, reducer) with single-side welding and double-side formation, delivering RT/UT qualification rates above 98% while dramatically reducing dependence on skilled manual welders.
The press roller type automatic pipe welding machine rotates the assembled pipe spool on precision polyurethane drive rollers while a column-and-cantilever welding head travels along a linear guide rail, keeping the torch at the optimum welding position throughout the entire circumference. The result is a uniform, aesthetically perfect weld bead — pass after pass, spool after spool — without rotating the workpiece in a chuck.
The machine supports TIG, hot-wire TIG, CO2/MIG/MAG and fine-wire submerged arc welding (SAW), which means one workstation can handle automatic root pass, filling and cap welding of carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel and low-temperature steel pipes across the full range of a piping prefabrication workshop.

Multi-Process Capability on One Station Configure TIG, hot-wire TIG, CO2/MIG/MAG or fine-wire SAW — singly or in combination — to realize automatic root pass, filling and cap welding. Hot-wire TIG (WINCOO's proprietary system) achieves more than twice the deposition rate of cold-wire TIG.
Roller-Drive Rotational Welding The fitted spool is rolled onto the press-roller drive unit; precision gear reducer with turbo-worm transmission rotates the pipe smoothly and stably. Roller rotation speed is steplessly adjustable via frequency converter to match different diameters and wall thicknesses.
CNC Linear Oscillation Imported closed-structure CNC oscillators (stepping motor + high-precision ball screw + imported linear guide rail) produce even weld ripple with adjustable swing width (max 30 mm), frequency (20–60 times/min) and left/right dwell time (0–3 s) for beautiful weld appearance.
WSP Pipe Welding Expert Control System PLC + touch-screen HMI (WEINVIEW) integrates all process parameters with a built-in welding parameter database. Operators with no welding experience can master the machine within 2–3 days of training.
