Outline Drawing of LYT-type Hydraulic Hoist

LYT-type hoist is composed of one-stage double-acting hydraulic cylinder, pulley block, load-bearing chain and oil way etc. Moveable pulley is used to enlarge chain stroke, i.e. traveling distance of the cylinder is 1/2 of lifting distance of the chain. It applies to inverted installation and construction of various large storage tanks (steel) and various storage tanks.

Storage Tank Manufacturing Steps and Methods for Improving Tooling of Storage Tank

1. Laying of tank bottom plate. 

2. Preparation of the top first siding and tank roof. 

3. For preparation of expansion ring, 16-25# channel steel is rolled into an arc consistent with the inner arc of the tank by using a rolling machine. The opening of outermost channel steel is rolled toward the tank to form a full circle, and the opening of inner channel steel is rolled toward the outside of the tank to form a full circle. Two channel steels are finally assembled into a mouth-shape. Internal rib plate is welded on the expansion ring in the place of hoist to improve the strength at the lifting point. The expansion ring is cut into several sections according to the length. Several fractures are left to weld out the end face to place the screw jack. According to the length of the expansion ring, every 9 meters (reference value) is a section with one junction plate welded at each end. Expansion ring is connected. According to the whole expansion ring, several fractures are designed to place the screw jack. For remaining fractures, screws are used to connect the junction plate. Fractures of the expansion ring should keep away from lifting position of the hoist and can be produced according to Figure 1 below: (reference diagram for preparation of expansion ring). 

4. Two door-type clamps are prepared for each hoist according to Figure 2 below: (reference diagram for preparation of lifting lug and door-type clamp). The door-type clamp is buckled on the expansion ring, and the expansion ring does not need to be welded with the tank wall. The expansion ring is only expanded on the tank wall with screw jack. The upper and lower sides of the door-type clamp are welded on the tank wall. During lifting, the expansion ring transmits force to the door-type clamp and then to the tank wall. 

5. The expansion ring is clamped on the tank wall. The distance between lower plane of expansion ring and the lower plane of tank siding is about 100-150 mm. If the expansion ring is set too high, the lifting height of the hoist will be affected. 

6. According to the number of hoists, hoisting points with same quantity of the hoists should be evenly arranged on the expansion ring to weld lifting lug of the hoist. Each lifting lug (composed of two ear plates and two rib plates) is welded for each hoist and prepared by reference to Figure 2 below: (reference diagram for preparation of lifting lug and door-type clamp). 

7. Hoist and hydraulic pump station are installed. Oil way and circuit are connected and exhausted for commissioning. 

8. Lifting tank - coaming - welding vertical seam - falling tank - welding circular seam - falling expansion ring - preparation for lifting the next layer of siding.

Components of the Whole Set of Hydraulic Hoist 

The LYT-type hydraulic hoist is composed of several groups of hydraulic hoists. One YB-type hydraulic pump station supplies oil synchronously for four LYT-type hydraulic hoists. Several groups of LYT-type hydraulic hoists constitute a complete set of inverted hydraulic hoist.
