The PPEW-24 through-hole chuck type automatic pipe welding machine from WINCOO ENGINEERING CO.,LTD is a precision TIG welding station purpose-built for short pipe spools, pipe-to-fitting and fitting-to-fitting joints. A through-hole chuck grips the workpiece end and rotates it without axial run-out, while the cantilever welding head performs high-quality automatic TIG (or hot-wire TIG / MIG) root, filling and cap welding — the ideal solution for compact prefabrication cells producing elbows, flanges, reducers and short pipe sections.

Product Overview

Where long-pipe stations rely on roller drives, the PPEW series clamps the workpiece directly in a rotating through-hole chuck. Because the pipe end is positively gripped, there is zero axial creep during welding — critical for short spools and flange joints where run-out would otherwise cause weld defects. The chuck can be tilted 0–90° for inclined flange fillet welding, and the hollow spindle (Φ360 mm bore) lets pipes pass through for extended-length welding when needed.

The machine is delivered with either pulsed MIG or hot-wire TIG automatic welding systems (Aotai power sources), and is engineered for stainless steel, carbon steel and alloy steel short-pipe fabrication.

Core Features

Zero Run-Out Chuck Clamping The workpiece end is firmly gripped in the three-jaw through-hole chuck — no axial movement during welding, ensuring consistent root gap and perfect bead formation on short spools.

0–90° Tilt for Flange Fillet Welding The chuck positioner tilts electrically for inclined flange fillet welding with ±45° torch oscillation, producing clean, evenly formed fillet welds that meet corner-weld height and pressure-test requirements.

Precision Arc Length Tracking (AVC) A precision arc sensor plus WINCOO's proprietary control technology automatically adjusts torch height to compensate for pipe ovality and non-standard grooves — a key factor in raising welding qualification rates on thin-wall stainless work.

Hot-Wire TIG Option The hot-wire TIG system more than doubles the deposition rate of conventional cold-wire TIG, cutting cycle time on stainless steel spools dramatically while preserving TIG bead quality.

One-Touch Operation Preset welding programs in the PLC + touch-screen WPS expert system mean unskilled operators master the machine in 1–2 days of training. Multi-layer multi-pass welding runs continuously in automatic mode.

Corrosion-Resistant Engineering Aerospace aluminum alloy closed oscillators prevent dust and fume ingress; all pipe-contact parts are coated, stainless steel or blackened to avoid carbon pollution of stainless steel workpieces.

Cutting → Fitting-Up → PPEW Short-Pipe Welding → Long-Pipe Welding Station → QC

All stations share the same WSP expert control philosophy, so operators trained on one WINCOO machine can run the entire line.
