The WINCOO WQ-III is a modular, rail-based orbital welding carriage engineered for high-volume fabrication of long-distance pipelines. This portable and cost-effective orbital pipe MIG welder features a magnetic adhesion system that enables secure attachment to and traversal around ferromagnetic pipes of various diameters. The system is driven by a Programmable Logic Controller (PRC/PLC) that automates the entire welding process, ensuring precise control over welding torch movement, speed, and other critical parameters. WQ-III is suitable for welding both internal and external walls of pipelines; no rails are required for magnetic materials, as welding can be carried out directly along the arc surface of the workpiece.

Advanced Automation & Precision Control: The PLC system ensures highly repeatable, defect-free welds with uniform penetration and profile through precise automation. The machine supports flexible parameter adjustments for various weld specifications. Swing speed, swing range, center position, and left/right residence time can all be adjusted, making it suitable for a variety of different weld specifications.
Superior Economic Benefits: Automatic welding is 1.5 times faster than manual welding. While manual operations typically have a defect rate of approximately 20%, the automatic welding tractor eliminates artificial welding defects entirely. The comprehensive benefit is nearly 200% higher than that of manual welding.
Wider Weld Capabilities: WQ-III features an oscillating automatic welding device that enables a wider weld to be obtained with a single pass, reducing the number of passes required and increasing overall productivity.
Enhanced Operational Convenience: Small size and light weight make installation and movement easy. Unskilled workers can also perform welding with minimal training, reducing dependence on highly skilled manual welders for difficult positions.
Robust Construction: The system uses a four-wheel magnetic drive system composed of four magnetic wheels, helical gears, chains, and sprockets, ensuring reliable traction even on vertical or overhead pipe surfaces. Permanent magnets are installed to prevent welding line disconnection during the welding process, ensuring stable and continuous operation.
Modular Flexibility: The modular design allows for quick changes of welding heads, track configurations, and power sources to suit different pipe materials, wall thicknesses, and weld procedures.
